RESEARCH INTERESTS
She specializes in contemporary Arabic literature and has worked with a number of Italian publishing houses to promote Arabic culture in Italy.
Since 1993 she has been Editor in chief of the Contemporary Arab Writers series (“Scrittori Arabi Contemporanei ") of the Jouvence publishing house which has so far published  40 novels by outstanding contemporary Arab authors.
She has lectured a number of Italian, European and Arab Universities. She has taken part to different meetings about Arabic contemporary literature in universities and institutions in Italy, Europe and in the Arabic world.
She has been a member of the European translating project “Mémoires de la Mediteranée”, promoted by the Cultural Foundation, Amsterdam.
She is member of the Italian Ministry of Culture’s Commission for the “National Translation Prize”.
She is member of «Sharjah Prize» for Arab Culture, UNESCO
